Hi everyone, quick question,
I calibrate my monitor and have done for a while with Spyder 2 express.
I convert all my raw files with Capture NX2 and then touch up in PS7. Does my Spyder calibration overide the colour settings in NX and PS or do I need to select the Spyder2express profile in NX/PS?
Your monitor profile is 'system-wide', assuming it is the default profile that is set in the color manangement properties of your OS. The colors in your image are determined by the image's profile; e.g. Adobe RGB, sRGB, etc.. Therefore, you should not have to select the SpyderExpress profile in either NX or PS to view the colors accurately.
If you have not set the SpyderExpress profile as the system's default monitor profile, please tell us what OS you are using and we'll try to help you out.
I hope this helps.

Cheers Preston,
That does answer my question. SpyderExpress is set as my systems default monitor profile. What I have done though is set the colour profile in NX and PS to Spyder2Express also. I will change them back now though.
