A Digital Rebel for $590... this is breaking my heart right now since I am flat broke. I could put it on a credit card, but then I couldn't afford the lenses and I also don't want to upgrade my camera until I can get a proper desktop with a calibrated monitor... ugh, this is an expensive hobby I've picked. :frown:

I think the mail in rebate for the 5D is the Canon mail-in that is good until July. It's still an attractive price, but I think the price with Canon rebate is pretty similar to the other major camera mail orders like B+H. I've been watching for my first digital for a year or longer and my wallet is almost coming to terms with the current 5D price
