Hopefully someone can help me here. I installed Photoshop CS. When I tried to open it, it said it could not open because of missing or invalid personalization information.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Nope. Sorry I can't help.. If you uninstall and then reinstall do you have the issue again? PhotoShop CS that's so Dial up! LOL Hmm maybe upgrade time for CS2? Let me know if the uninstall reinstall works.

Was this an upgrade? CS requires "activation", which requires you to be connected to the Internet. If you're still having issues, call Adobe's support number (should be in your paperwork somewhere) and they should be able to walk you through the process. I had to use their help one time when I transferred PS from one PC to another and they were quite helpful.

Keep in mind that with any of the Adobe Creative Suite 2 (CS2) programs, you can only activate a single serial number twice before you really have to start jumping through hoops with customer service to provide you're not up to something illegal.

I recently heard a statistic that for every paid/registered/legitimate copy of Photoshop in use, there are 30 pirated copies.

We can expect Adobe and other software manufacturers to continue to get more and more strict with licensing and activation policies.
