Before the Throne
Difficult lighting conditions but what a wonderful place to spend on Sunday morning. Hopefully it doesn't look to much like a postcard. Anytime I visit the Tetons I try to avoid this place. I have so many images seared into my mind of Oxbow Bend and yet I had to give it a shot this time. It's not surprising to find photographers lined up to shoot here. Another reason I avoid it. You can tell I don't like crowds. Still some nice color but fading fast.

Appreciate any comment, critioque or anything else you would like add or ask.

This is a magnificent sky. You were able to manage is quite well. It seems a little blown out in the reflection, but I don't know what you would do to change that. It's a beautiful scene.

Nice Dean! I was there on Sunday morning too but I was shooting from the hillside across the road. I wish I knew you were there... oh well, next time

Excellent color and light. And your comp shows the grandeur of this mountain and place.

Awesome, Dean! You handled the tricky light really well, and those clouds make Moran look HUGE.

This looks beautiful Dean. I especially love the mood in the clouds. I would however recommend you look and see if you can darken the reflection, not only because it should be darker, but because it currently draws the attention away a bit. Great view though.

This is spectacular, Dean. This may be the best image I have ever seen from Oxbow. I'm glad you stopped to get this one.

As i said in a certain NPN article, icons are fine if you put some of your own personality in them and give them a unique look, and i think you've succeeded here thanks to the terrific conditions. I just think it needs some minor tweaks, a little more clarity and some minor work on the highlites (a hair bright) Very nice!

Why, oh why, didn't I push my trip back a week?!! My Oxbow images are boring- no snow, no cool clouds, green trees.... You've got a killer shot and I'm very jealous!

Very nice, I do agree with the others about the highlights. I don't think this place cannot look awesome!
