In south central Kansas lies a region known as the Gypsum Hills. Looking more like the desert southwest than the typical perception of Kansas, this sunset shot shows some of these distinctive hills and vegetation.

Unusual pink-tint makes this unique.
I wish the little "mesa's" top was slightly above the horizon line. But then you would have lost the foreground....
Great crispness. The several little "mesas" make the depth of this photo pleasing.
Great stuff.

A land that is uniquely beautiful to say the least, nice job Wayne.
You sure don't see that beauty riding across 70. Thanks for sharing Wayne!

Great color in the skies, Wayne. I've also thought that this area has a 'southwest' feel to it. It's nice to see that some trees and grass survived their terrible summer.
I have visited the Gant-Larsen Ranch years ago and think it would be a great place to explore. They provide access to 10,000 acres for 10$/day.

Ken, that sounds like quite a deal if their land has the right opportunities. Thanks for the comments.

Looking good Wayne. Nice to see you out shooting. The shot has a nice shoft feel to it with the mild colors and soft lines of the hills. Well done.
