Rod, the stump contrasts very nicely with the reflections on the ponds surface. Nice eye on this one. Have a great weekend.

Rod, nice stump and reflections. I like the leaves on the stump. I am planning on scouting tomorrow, what is your opinion of the color right now?

I was at Sam's Throne on Thursday and a few of the trees were turning.
Still a lot of green out there. There are patches of color and a lot of the under brush is changing. Hickory and Maples are truning. Should be another week or so for peak to get here. Depends some on the cold weather nights.
I'm going to be at Sam's Throne and Pedestal Rocks on Saturday. Then scout around on Sunday.

Nice color, Rod, and the stump has a lot of interesting things going on with the leaves and texture. Hope you find lots to shoot over the weekend.

Nice shot Rod. I like the reflections being blurry as opposed to sharp. It adds to the focus on the stump and leaves.

This is a great photo.
I contains many elements--texture, color, contrast, vertical and horizontal features, dof control.
On this small version the contrast appears a tad too much but I bet on larger versions the very dark tones are slightly lighter.
Wayne does it again.

It is getting to that time of the year. We have some yellowing starting here in Texas.
