Adorama has a package deal where you get a 5D Mark II, the 24-105mm lens, an additional LP-E6 battery. an 8GB CF card and some other accessories for $2992, see it here. If you don't want the 24-105mm, they are still selling like hotcakes on eBay for about $900-$1000 which means the 5D2 costs you just under two grand.
But it gets even better: Canon has a rebate tied to this package where if you spend $444 on the PixmaPro 9000 MKII printer they will send you a rebate for $400, so that's almost a free printer. This is how I got my 9000 with my original 5D in 2007, it's a fantastic 13x19" printer.
That's one of the best package deals on the 5D2 I've seen. If you're pondering, go for it. If it's your first full frame camera, you'll be dancing in your backyard when you see the low-light image quality even at ISO 1600.
Enjoy!

Wow that's an awesome deal Paul. Almost makes me want to to forsake the Nikonian Brotherhood..........not really, but it's still a sweet offer.
