Photographed this moose near Guanella Pass. Always heard they were there. This is from the Georgetown side. Thanks for looking.

Nice image Dan. I didn't realize they were in that area.

Such detail! Love the eyes, too. The half in/half out of the frame works perfectly here. Burning down the highlights below her ear would be an asset. Excellent work (again), Dan!

Wow Dan, I feel like I could reach out and rub her fuzzy nose! Exquisite detail! They must be fairly recent additions to the area?

Beautiful shot Dan. What a treat to see this in the wild. Incredible detail.

That's one soulful moose portrait! You absolutely nailed focus and DOF on this one.

The light in the eyes really stands out well, along with the good focus. What surprises me a little is how light in color her face and shoulder hump are. Beside the bright are below the left ear that John mentioned, the lighter branch below right of her mouth catches my eye.

Wonderful light on her! Pretty cool that moose are expanding their range. I found out some moose are in the Sneffels area as well.

Thanks for the comments. Lynn, I was right by my truck. Not going out there in those high willows!
