Do we all agree that it was a strange autumn chasing the colors? I thought I was done and had posted my favorites on my website Here. But yesterday was such a gorgeous day in Steamboat and I was seeing pockets of color remaining around the valley so I once again hiked the closed Buffalo Pass road to Rainbow Ridge to see if there was any aspen color left. I was amazed to find not only pockets, but entire hillsides. After that I just had to drive up Rabbit Ears Pass to an overlook and stayed for a terrific sunset. Here's one, the rest are at Final Fling.

"Layers of Color" jumped out at me, and think it could easily be added to your top 25.

Gotta agree with everyone about Layers! I also quite like Road in the Flat Tops, simple but solid comp with great atmosphere, makes me want to be there.
