1/40 sec @ F/11 ISO 100 & 1/10 sec @ F/11 ISO 100
Tripod/Remote Release
And last but not least - Patience!

This is a PhotoShop layer mask blend of two exposures. One for the ocean/sky and a second one for the foreground. Nancy and I arrived at this location a good 1.5 hours prior to Sunset. It was an awesome and relaxing 1.5 hours of pure beauty!

Nice composition here Rick. I really like the line created by the fence which leads the eye out into the frame. The colors look great as well.

Nice shot Rick, the soft light works really well and the fence is a great leading line. I am actually heading up there Wednesday through Sunday, and I have never been. I will be staying with some friends on Orcas island if you have any good suggestions on spots.

What a beauty, Rick! Love the zing of the zig-zag fence line in the light. "Zing" contrasts with tranquility; even so the image imparts of feeling of serenity to me. Ahhhhh, s-i-g-h... nice deep breath into the soul.

The fence is too cool Rick. I really like the subtle distant skyline of the Olympics. Sounds like it was a beautiful place to be!
