At the beach-Olympic NP
Spent a week out in Olympic National Park. After the long, hot, dry, summer we had having overcast most days and rain every day was nice.

Here are a couple from the coast.

Both on rather overcast days. One I left in the blue monochrome and the other took it to b+w.

Here is the B+W ne. Done with NIk SEP2.

Overall I am less thna impressed with SEP2 but this one came out pretty nice.

And one more. This could either be called brave. Or stupid.

To get the right motion in the waves you have to be either in or right at the edge. I had my tripod with the legs set wide. I was at the spot most waves stop. Notice I said "most".......

Well when a bigger wave was coming in and I knew it would be well deeper than my shoes I had a split second decision. Grab tripod and go. Or to start image and leave it.

I took a big gamble and left it..... I got the image in blue on top.

:jump:

Wow, you're a brave and trusting lad Darren. No way I'm leaving my camera & tripod unattended in the surf. I'm glad it paid off for you with that nice image in this case but I wouldn't recommend tempting fate.

Very nice work, Darren, I like the first shot the best. Very brave on that camera position!

Nicely done, Darren, but just a little too much blue in the first one for my tastes. I think if the rock were cropped more off-center in the second one, it might strengthen it IMO.
