Hi everyone. I have noticed that my last two uploads have a distinct colour cast on the thumbnails, yet when the image is opened up, the colour cast is not present, anyone else noticed this? My monitor is calibrated using a colour munki, and I have not seen this elsewhere, on my images. Could it be due to compression?

Actually you could say it's the other way around Paul - the thumbnail is showing without a colour profile, so by default is taken to be sRGB/Monitor, whereas your main and larger images are tagged with the ProPhoto colour profile. An ICC aware browser such as Safari will display your main image OK, but many browsers aren't colour aware and won't show the image properly. Your best bet is to make sure that the images are saved for posting using the sRGB colour profile.

Paul - why are you processing in ProPhoto???????????????????????

Set your Photoshop Colour Settings (Shift+Ctrl+K) properly:

Working Space: Adobe

Under CMP set RGB to Preserve

Then ensure that Profile Mismatch is TICKED - now when you export from Lightroom you'll get a warning in Photoshop that there's a profile mismatch - select Convert Documents Colours to the Working Space - click okay.

Now you'll have an Adobe-profiled image open in PS not a ProPhoto.

Question matey; you've got the DVD so why don't you watch it???!!!
