Can anyone tell me what knd of duck this is? My best guess is a gadwall or maybe some kind of hybrid. There are some white feathers on the top of the wings and the bill is grayish which makes me think it could be a gadwall but the feet are also gray and in my book the gadwalls feet are more yellowish. Thanks for any help you can give.

I'd say American Wigeon

I'm with Mia; a Gadwall would have a black butt. American Wigeon in eclipse plumage.
