Just a closeup of a tree at the JG I took a few weeks ago as the color was coming in on this guy.
Would you let me know how this loads for you? I like the new posting guidelines as far as the pixel dimensions, but it's impossible to keep that under 200k. I tried this one, and I had to take the jpeg down to 48 percent quality...so I scrapped that idea. I took this one to 90% and hosted it on photo.net instead

Rick
Looks like lace. Beautiful textural effect. I like your depth showing the details in the limbs.

This is so cool, Rick. Would you believe I took this very same comp when I was last there with David? I too saw the incredible backlight hit this tree, and shot it the same way. Yours is better since there are more leaves on it.

Rick, I love this shot ! The light is very magical on the branches... wow
Rick,
The effect is cool and I always like backlighting in images. I still think you can keep the feeling of luminosity even though I feel the yellow or green component is overpowering. Right now it is a bit neon. I know moss and spring green in the PNW can give this color, but to me it hurts my eyes.

Thanks for the comments ya'll. Jim...I should have warned everyone in my title that they will need to wear sunglasses to look at this. The light on these fresh budding leaves were very illuminous, but perhaps my exposure was a hair too much. I figured it would turn out the way I want it if I decided to print it...
