Nice Color This Monday On Rte. #35
The vine maple was getting really colorful along the Mt. Hood hwy on Monday. The big leaf maple wasn't doing too bad either. Alot of bright yellow instead of the often seen brown that they seem to turn frequently.

I suggest getting out there soon!

Agree, let's get out there! :biggrin: This looks great for color and comp Joe. I know you didn't ask for any critique, but fwiw the sharpening makes it look a little "crunchy" to me…

Joe, very interesting composition! I really like how you have placed the grey of the branches surrounded by the wonderful transition from the summer green all the way to the fall scarlet of the vine maple leaves. I believe I could create vine maple images all day long if time permitted!

You're right Catherine, it does look a little "crunchy"...Here's a softer version.

Lovely color! I like the full range from green through deep red. On my monitor, something midway between the two should hit the sweet spot.

Nailed it. (At least for my monitor. :smile: Monitor variation is a huge problem when sharpening for the web.)
