I see that the autumn images are starting to trickle out of the hard drives of my friends here at RMNP, so I might as well post a couple. Not sure I've taken my best fall image yet, given how precipitously the colors died in the storms' aftermath, and how much decent color is happening along the Front Range cities right now, but here's a few from my week+ jaunt earlier this month.
#1: Colorful tundra, near Independence Pass

#2: Pond and pouring rain near Castle Creek

#3: Wind? What wind?

#4: Sneffels hide & seek

All are nice Todd, but #1 seems like a great example of your style, with awesome conditions, layers and comp, plus a fortuitous cloud!

These are all very Moving Pictures but I really like #2. Might darken the sky a tad, and cool the color temp slightly but I think its a beautiful shot. That's why I say hey man, nice shot! Definitely not a Shot in the Dark. Its always nice when someone is out there to Shoot to Thrill. In this Dog Eat Dog world of photography its nice to see photos from Over the Hills and Far Away. Were you using that Big Ten Inch lens?? In #1 it looks like you were Close to the Edge and Going for the One. Great work, Todd! Rock on!

Gotta go with #1. The tundra colors are great and make the firs stand out well.
My fave is probably #2 but I also really like the layering and different tones in #4.

All are very nice. But I'm lovin' #2.

Nicely done Todd. My fav is #1. The tundra colors on Indy and much of the Sawatch seemed have been more brilliant this fall than most years I've experienced. You captured that really well!

Great stuff as usual, Todd, 1 and 2 are my favorites. I'm less than half done with what I took so it will be awhile before I post anything. How does everybody get done so quickly?

Great question! I've often wondered that too. I'm still working on images from 10 years ago!!!

I'm still working on images I haven't even taken yet...

I like #2 best. The comp, color and exposure feels really nice to me. Of course the left side of the image is perfect, but I'm more into the follow through comp on the right side of the image.

Another fine collection Todd. I like 2 and 4 the best. #2 for me is unique and like the half circle comp of the pond and in #4 I really like the barely exposed peak.

Great color in the first and I like that single cloud right in the middle.
