On another forum where I participated heavily for years and years, we used to have what became known as Karma postings. If I had a piece of gear that was no longer needed (by me) it would be offered up to the membership, no strings attached, in exchange for any good Karma that such an act of generosity might bring me in the future. I cleared the concept with Jim and Donna, so you're reading your first Karma post in NPN today. Again, these gifts are free from any encumbrances other than asking the recipient to pay for, or share in, the cost of shipping the item. I hope that other members will take notice and offer their own Karma postings as well. So, here's today's Karma from me...

i have to offer a Kirk Enterprises Macro Focus Rail that has never been used. You can get the details at http://www.kirkphoto.com/Focusing_Rail_FR-1.html. I don't have much in the way of money, so I will ask that you pay all the shipping costs. To claim your prize, you need only be the tenth person to ask. I don't have energy to read date stamps and such, so quite literally the tenth person to hit my inbox with a request is the winner.

<robert><rowe><2><at><mac><dot><com>. Include contact info and pass on the good Karma!

This sounds like a great idea Kelly. I'm sure we all end up with bits and pieces of equipment that we will never use again and could be put to good use by someone else. Besides "a piece of gear", I'm hoping we could also include in these Karma postings photo paper, ink, books, software, etc., or really anything related to photography.

Great idea Kelly. Hopefully, others will follow. I'm sure you'll be inundated with requests for the rail.

Great idea!

I assume that everyone has equipment that has been sitting around without use, and I will see what is available in my closet.

Kelly, Great idea. The world needs more good energy being passed around.

If I'm the tenth person responding, I'd love to make use of the focusing rail. nicklazz@comcast.net

Thanks,

Nick

I'm sorry that I don't have a focusing rail for each of you, but sit tight. There will be another one coming off the shelf so we can play again next week! Plus, I've got a few more items to send down the Karma pipeline other than expensive focus rails. In the future I'll be sending out some more Kirk Enterprises tripod hardware.

Thanks Kelly.

I was looking around for a macro rail but looks like it found me half way round the globe. That is KARMA!

You are a real Bodhisattva and have started something good here. I will put something in the karma pipeline as well.
