Spring Simplicity
20D, 180 f3.5 macro, ISO100, 1/100 @ f8, MLU + remote, Gitzo 500 + BH-1, C1pro + CS2.

Hi,

Here in the south east we only had one break in the weather, when I was able to get out of family commitments etc....

Took a wander locally looking for new growth to herald the belated start to spring, liked the simplicity of this image.

Good thing though, the dismal weather has meant that I could get a lot of writing done

All the best

Hi Phil

I do very little of this sort of photography, but it looks good to me - love the way the available light has caught the fine hairs on the opening leaf!

Very tidy, you can feel the softness of that hair, its nice to get the macro's out again a lot lighter than the big guns.

Spot on as always Phil! DOF, lighting and sharpness all perfect. A shot I probably wouldn't even have thought of! No nits from me!!!!!

Hello Phil
I think it is simple and very effective. Do you think a spray with a fine mist could have improved it a little??
Best wishes

Hi Phil,

Simple but very eye-catching and effective.
An excellent subject which is so easy to pass by without a thorough look.
