Just checking in to see if any of my buddies here at RMNP will be heading to Zion soon. I heard that the colors on the east side of the park are looking great. I am planning on getting into the area on the 25th or 26th and leaving on the 3rd. It would be great to share a campsite or a hike to the Subway.

Sorry, Jimmy. I'm planning to be there the 4th - 8th of Nov. Hopefully it's not too late, but that's the soonest I can get over there. Have fun!

I'm heading that way, but most likely will not be there until after you leave.
I don't think it is. I think you need a permit to be in any part of the drainage, no matter whether you go into the classic "subway" portion or not. You should clarify that with a ranger or someone else who knows better than I do, though.
At this point, I plan on being there Nov 6/7/8, if anyone wants to meet up then. I'm tempted to go down the previous weekend, but doubt I'll be able to clear out my work schedule...
I'm doing a big 9 day SW tour, have a permit to the wave (first time there!) on Monday the 31st. Then to Zion at some point through the week. Likely the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I"ll be in my silver Liberty, likely with still muddy sides if anyone wants to say hi.

Sounds like there's a good chance to see some of you. Looks like I'll be there on the 30th for sure. I leave on the morning of the 2nd.
I am planning on heading up there a bit later as well. I decided to go a bit later because color this year seems to be later than normal.

Jimmy, unfortunately I will also be there on days after you leave. Mine will really be a gamble this year, as I don't arrive until 11th, but the primary purpose of my trip is not Zion, so that is OK. Last year the colors did not peak until the first week of Nov. Good luck!

Hang out awhile longer. I'll be there 3-6.
Hopefully I will see the rest of you guys heading out that ways.
