Can anyone help me find out how to find out how much that I am cropping a photo? I've seen on a few photos photographers saying the percentage cropped of their photo...I assumed it was a visual estimate. For my work, I was saying that it was cropped by I didn't know how much. Anyway, if there is an easy way to find this information. I use LR3 and PSE9.

Also, when I state how much I crop, am I stating how much picture is left or how much I lobbed off?

I know I will get some useful replies, so thank you in advance, it's greatly appreciated.

See the "Calculating Crop Percentages" tab on this page on my web site for an example.

Basically you note the dimensions of the images just after cropping (pixels wide times pixels high) and divide that number by the dimensions before cropping (pixels wide times pixels high). These dimensions can be seen at the bottom of the image in Photoshop.

Okay, that I understand. I guess I was looking for something in the file information/ metadata to tell me.

Thanks Richard!

In LR3 the image size (x pixels by y pixels) is listed under the metadata heading, but only if you're in the Library.
