Ground Hog
Nothing spectactular - Our youngest son and his family were over last weekend and I was doing some shots at a local park and noticed this rascal in the rocks. Just a quick catch - but I haven't posted in a while and thought I would throw it in.

I like it, Merle. The light seems pretty soft and not too harsh, and you composed it nicely too. Nice work...thanks for posting!

Great to hear from you again Merle. It looks like some the ground critters we see out in Colorado. The catch light in his eye really makes your shot.

Hey Bill - Tom -Thanks for your feedback. I haven't picked up my camera since August 2010 except to do family shots. Life got to busy and things just got in the way. When I shot this ground hog my 4 yr old twin grandsons wanted to know what I was doing and ran over, and thus, scared this little sucker back into the rocks. Hopefully life will even out over the winter and I can get back into a normal pattern of playing with my toys.

I see more and more of these fellows around my area now. Haven't had a camera in hand to make an image of one yet. Nice shot.
