Taken a fews weeks ago and proving that spring has finally (kind of) made it to my little patch of the Willamette Valley.

20D, 300/4L + 1.4xTC, 1/500 @ f6.3, ISO 200

(In case you'd noticed the focal length, I was shooting birds and then saw this and redirected my efforts for a few minutes)

Geoff,
What I really think is cool about this is the blurred flower on the left next to the sharp one. The contrast between the two really makes the in focus one pop. Nice work!

I really like this shot. The colors are beautiful and perfect dof.

Erik - I agree! That's exactly what I really liked about this comp as I was taking it and especially as I was post-processing it. I didn't even give a thought to cropping the left side out.

...and as Harald also pointed out, the colors really turned me on...

Really nice, Geoff. Great colors and really sharp where it counts.

Thanks, Mike, Ned, and Ryan. I'm trying to make up for all the months of inactivity over the winter...
