Hi, I have a (potentially stupid) question for you all. I am having the hardest time down sizing a file in PSE 9 to match the requirements for the avatar size. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks from the newbie!

This is just a guess on how to do it, but I think it will work. Others may have a much easier way. Go to the Instruction tab and click Articles and Reviews from the drop down menu. Go to the search feature and put in Darwin Wiggett. You'll get a bazillion results, but go to #38 on page 8. This is his article, "How To Prepare Your Images For The NPN Forums Usisng Photoshsot Elements." In it he explains how to resize photos for the galleries. Assume all you would need to do is plug in the appropriate dimension for the avatar and you should be in business. But, I'm sure there are other (perhaps easier) ways to do it.

You need need to use the "save for web" function in PS, found under the File menu. Adjust "quality" until the file size is small enough.
