First Time to Post on Bird Photography Forum
I am mainly a landscape shooter. Recently I purchased a Nikkor 200-400mm lens and have been shooting wildlife, including birds. I have enjoyed the shooting but find it incredibly challenging. My pal Bob Karcz persuaded me to post a few shots on this forum and ask for feedback. This image is a lilac breasted roller, a photograph from my trip to Kenya in late August-early September.
Your comments and suggestions will be very much appreciated.

This image was made in Sedona, AZ last spring. I did not yet have my 200-400 lens so this was made with my 70-200mm with a 1.4X teleconverter. There is a great blue heron rookery in the cottonwood trees above the RV park where we stayed. I plan to go back next year with the longer lens and shoot some more. If anyone is interested in the location, let me know and I can give you the information.

This image of a yellow rumped warbler was made in Cherry Creek State Park near Denver. It was my very first photo with the 200-400mm lens. Thanks for any feedback you might offer.
I frequently visit this forum and I am amazed at some of the images posted here. Thanks for looking at my humble offering.

Rod, I too am new here and would like to say Welcome! I like your 1rst & 3rd images. In image #2 you have some nice interaction going on between the GBHs but the angle is a bit steep. I realize you may have had no better vantage points though. Good luck w/ your new lens! :wavey:

Hi Rod,
Very nice images, I especially like 1 and 3. For detailed feedback on your shots you should post them in the Avian Image Critique Gallery. This forum is more for discussion of bird photography, ID shots and sequences of interesting bird behavior.
