I've been asked to shoot weddings, and I always say no. I guess I don't need the stress, since photography is supposed to relaxing for me.
Our wonderful legal system is now offering another good reason to avoid wedding photography: http://tinyurl.com/42v4886

Bob, this has always been a risk in wedding photography. PPA includes insurance coverage with dues....or a least it used to.
You were provided counsel in case of suit and most pro wedding photographers were members just because of coverage. Yes, wedding photography is stressful for a number of reasons and this is one. Nevertheless, it used to be a lucrative area...not so much anymore due to all the shoot and burn part times and Mom's with cameras.

Here's another excellent policy for that kind of STOOPID stuff. Can you imagine somebody having the nerve to even do that or seek that much to "recreate" the wedding, whatever that means... is this guy surprised he's divorced?

Just another example of frivilous lawsuits that permeate our society, today. You just hope that any lawyer dumb enough to take a case like this will get hammered by the judge for clogging the system..

Actually, the chief reason that I don't do weddings is that I stink at "people" pictures. That not withstanding, this kind of legal crap would be enough to keep me from doing it.

Did it once. Never again. 'Nuff said!
