Tried to go to White Rock Mt today but found the road closed about 2 miles from the summit. Not being in the mood for a hike I went with plan B and found Mt Magazine nearly peaking in color. Can't process for a few days but think I got one or two keepers. Whats with White Rock road closing.... Anyone know?

Bob, thanks for the heads up about White Rock, I was thinking of going there this weekend. I am not sure what is going on but it seems like a plot against us photographers right now. White Rock closed and most of Falling Water Creek road closed.

Tim Ernst just sent me a link to the detailed information to the road closure at White Rock and other areas in the Ozarks. Here is a link with details on the detours around the closed sections.
Bob, I guess you can get to White Rock but it will take some effort.

After speaking with the lady at White Rock, it looks like it may be awhile before the roads are open again. A contract was awarded about a month ago to a South Carolina company to make the repairs, but she hasn't seen any work started at all. They're supposed to have a year to complete the job, so I don't anticipate much happening until spring, since winter weather is about to close in.
