Rules of Conduct NPN is strictly dedicated to the art and technique of nature photography and all conversation should pertain directly to it. While on-topic spirited debate is welcome, please keep all conversation congenial, professional and non-combative. Discussion of religion, politics/political activism or any other controversial subject that has little or nothing to do with ther art and technique of nature photography is subject to deletion without notice. If you have any issues or concerns with any aspect of forum activity, please contact the forum moderator(s) using their email contacts at the top of the forum page.

11. Please respect that a number of people use this forum and that some of them do not wish to see "Infomercials". We ask that you refrain from advertising workshops within the UKNP Forum (rule 11). Any such posts will be liable for deletion without warning by a moderator.
Whilst not a rule, but with regard for the subjects welfare, we would ask you to refrain from posting on the public forum the location of subjects that are sensitive to disturbance.
Entries to the forum should convey the essential truth of what the photographer saw at the time it was taken. All radical changes, or additions, to the original image, particularly to the primary subject, should be disclosed. The removal of blemishes or distractions is permissible but in presenting images members are requested to declare any deviation for routine* manipulation in an informative way for the benefit of other members.
*Routine manipulation includes adjustments to parameters such as levels, brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, shadows and highlights, the removal of dust spots etc. These changes need not be mentioned. The cropping of an image is also seen as routine but members are requested to indicate – as a percentage - how much of the original captured image has been left in the final image presented.
On Moderation: The UKNP Forum moderators will never discuss a decision with a non-moderator once that decision has been taken. 'The Mods' reserve the right to reverse our judgement in light of new information or changing circumstances. If your post gets altered, or simply disappears, then, before you contact a moderator, re-read the above guidlines. If your posts consistently disappear then you can expect to follow them
Finally, please enjoy the forums to the full. Please please participate. Note that, as most people on this forum are strangers to one another, another's opinion of you is derived from your words and how you present them so, please treat others as you would like to be treated yourself, remember that that ‘at the feast of ego all leave hungry’ and don’t wash your dirty linen in public!
