Now that classes have resumed, I'm not getting out to shoot very often. I'm going through my secondary Alvord Desert set (i.e. things that didn't make my first cut) and found this. Whaddaya think? There is not much I can do now to get more separation from that bg hill, but the sky, mountains, structure, and foliage strike me as interesting.

Marylynne– I am impressed actually with how well this house blends in with its environment. Also makes me very thoughtful about who on earth thought they could eke out a living there. The detail in the structure is good. Yeah, the roofline of the structure could use more definition and might respond to careful burning at the top edge? And perhaps trying the same shot with a shallower depth would help to create better separation of subject from bg. Overall, I really like this and have enjoyed seeing your work from the Alvord Desert. I'll be interested in others' thoughts as well.
