Lady Washington on Puget Sound
I guess it is a nature with the mountain in the background but it is still a fav of mine as I find shooting on the water (motion) is very challenging. Then there is that whole 'moving the tripod' issue on the water..... Pushed the sky just a bit and used those very special sharpening tricks of Marc Adamus for the web jpg presentation. I have printed this out at 17 x 22 with no loss - remember the D2H is a 4.2MP camera, however I'll put it up against my D70 (6.2MP) any day and it will consistently out shoot it. Lesson: Don't get trapped in the megapixle race as more is not always better.

That is one beauty of a sailing ship, Randy! You couldn't have asked for a better backdrop to show it off either. Great job!

Very cool, I love the mountain in the BG, the hase layer at the base of the mountain makes it look like it's hovering there.

Thanks folks for the comments. The sun was at my back which created the haze layer at the base of the mountain and made the US flag POP.

My only nit would be the far shore. It's sort of cluttered and right in line with things I want to look at on the ship. Other than that :toast:
