We took our annual trip to the coast a couple weeks ago. We were lost in fog in the evenings, so no sunsets, but I did get decent light at Siletz Bay.
3 shot HDR processed for natural look
ISO 125, f/9, 1/125s + 1/200s + 1/250s
Tide was rising, so time was, um, shrinking.

Very well done Marylynne! Love the soft light here. And the gull really adds to the shot!

Love Siletz Bay! This is a beautiful scene, Marylynne. Thanks for the treat.
Here's a nitty nit: The white spots in the foreground…

Thanks Joe and Catherine. I didn't even think about the white spots. I think it's sea foam. I'll clone them out.
Any other suggestions? I'm always eager to tinker more.

This is really nice Marylynne, the reflection, comp. and colors are so alive and real that I can almost feel sea spray in my face. Well done!

The reflection really steals the show in this scene. Very nice.

Beautiful. I'll echo, both the reflection and gull are superb.
