Converting files to CMYK format

I'm using a company to print some calendars that wants the images to be in the CMYK color space. Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop or any other tool that supports CMYK. I do have Elements 8, Lightroom 3, and the Nik Suite. Can anyone suggest a tool to convert from RGB to CMYK?

Thanks in advance.

Richard,

I have not tried this but here's an on-line service.

Good luck,

Lightroom 3 has pretty good support for CMYK. A quick Google search should bring up some tutorials. The real advantage to Photoshop is the ability to soft-proof the converted images, though this is also possible with some Lightroom extensions.

Check with the printing company. They may be able to convert your files for you. Your images will probably need to be converted into CMYK using a printing profile that the printer uses or has made up themselves. I have been producing Calendars since 1998 and would recommend that you purchase photoshop and do the conversions on your monitor using the printers profile.
This will insure that your images are closely match from monitor to paper.
