Hi all,

My 7D gave "err 20" today, it cleared the first time after I removed the batteries. But it soon returned and now its constantly doing it. It looks like the shutter mechanism is faulty, has anybody experienced this with the 7D? The camera has only done 5000 shutter operations and its only 4 months old  !!

Thanks for your help.

Sorry Paul, can't help on this occasion. Best of luck though, I hope you get is sorted out. I think the warranty is for one year?

Thanks Pete, I'm going to have to return it to Canon I think. Its working fine at the moment after giving err 20 consistently. I'm not having much luck with camera gear lately..... :frown:

Needs to go back, sorry Paul, its a mechanical failure, ie the shutter... on a camera that is 4 months old they should replace, stick to your guns... best of luck...

Thanks Phil, I'll insist on a replacement camera body.
