Fall Finally gets to Fort Worth
Here it is in mid November and fall colors are finally getting good here in Fort Worth. I have had to be working a late shift for a couple of weeks training some folks and I have tried to make the most of that by photographing each of the last few mornings. FWIW, I have been out on my bike with camera and tripod. I normally use my point and shoot and a table top tripod when I bike but with it being about peak colors I have been taking the DSLR and a regular tripod.

And please forgive the image quality, jpeg compression has really cut these down.

We mostly gets yellows here but the sumac and red oaks do add a bit of brighter colors to our autumn pallet.

The Clear Fork of the Trinity.

I really need to get a canoe for this time of year.......

And finally my transportation. The camera fits inside rather easy in the Bontrager trunk. It is nicely padded and seems to protect the camera well. I can then either put the tripod in a small backpack or just carry it.

Darren, all are nice, but I like the last shot with the bike among all the leaves.

Yes I agree with Tom, the bike and leaves is really nice. The Clear Fork picture looks overly purple on my screen. Isn't it a wonderful time of year!!!

Nice work Darren! I really like the one with the blue sky and angled palmetto. The white bark on the sycamore tree in the first one is nice too. Great series. Glad you're finally getting some fall color.

A very nice, diverse grouping of fall subjects Darren. I like them all for different reasons but the Sunny Day shot's clarity and detail is probably my favorite. Good job all around. Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks all. After the long hot summer we had in Texas it is nice to enjoy some cooler weather and nice colors. Waiting until next week to see the maples in the local Japanese Garden.

And for what it is worth all of those images were taken off the bike path that runs through town. Actually within about a 1/4 mile stretch of it.

Very nice, Darren. I am thinking about heading in your direction within the next week, hopefully.
