Hello everyone. I have just joined the NPN using the regional forum only option and thought I would introduce myself. I live in the Highlands of Scotland not too far from Glencoe which most will have heard of and moved up here from England eight years ago to live in what I think is a most beautiful part of the world. I have been using a camera for most of my adult life and whilst it is only a hobby for me I get a lot of pleasure from it, although being my worst critic perhaps more from the actual image taking process than the actual images! I am quite eclectic in my photography which is mainly landsacpe in the winter months and a mixture of avian/fauna and macro in the summer months, mainly butterflies and dragonflies. Weather here on the west coast of Scotland is my biggest challenge as we receive almost three metres of rain annually, indeed this May we had over 300mm which is a record even for here! I have been dipping into the UK site for a while now and am very impressed by the quality of the images and use them to inspire my own images. I am hoping to learn from the experiences of all the UK members and hope I can also offer my own experiences.
