Hi All,

This is a shot of Alport Castles in the Peak District, as far as I am aware it is the biggest land slip in Europe.

It was about an hours walk up a very steep hill, but when I got there it was very much worth it, not just for the fantastic view but to see the Peregrines. They are nesting on the cliff edge just below where I took this shot from. I went up there with a ranger who told me that they are going to set up a watch point this summer, and already have the hide (shed!!) in place unfortunatly they have nested just out of sight of the hide, but you can just sit at the top of the cliff and get absolutly fantastic views of the Peregrine's flying in at eye level, he said they are not bothered about people being there as they are used to people stopping there and having lunch. One thing I did'nt expect was the wind!! It nearly knocked me over on more than one occasion, but the Peregrine's and Ravens loved playing in it :jump:

Hi Rob,

Great scenery - glad you got to see the Peregrines too! I suspect you didn't lug the big gun up that slope...

I'm feeling breathless at just the thought of lugging a 600mm up there.
