We've received a lot of feedback from RMNP members requesting more frequent local "face-to-face" events. Since the region our forum covers is expansive with a sizable membership, this is a job one person cannot do alone. Therefore, we're pleased to announce the following members have stepped up to become event coordinators to help suggest, plan and organize in-person events for their respective states:
Some of the types of events we want to plan for the coming year include happy hours, field shoots and workshops, seminars, gallery visits and special contests/exhibitions such as the print showings at the Colorado State Capitol and Great Sand Dunes NP Visitor Center we've done in the past. (Check out the gathering for the College Hill Library showing planned for Dec. 4!) We have a diverse group in RMNP so if you would like to provide your expertise to facilitate a workshop or seminar, have items such as books or prints you'd like to donate for event prizes or have any other suggestions for future events feel free to contact the coordinator for your area with your ideas!
Please join me in thanking each member for volunteering as an event coordinator for the RMNP Leadership Team! Thank you so much Doug, Anne, Rohn, Aleks, Phillip and Bret!

I'm the webmaster and photo contest admin. But here's how it came about...
I volunteered to be event coordinator before the idea of individual state event coordinators came up. When we decided to recruit individuals from each state, I took on the recruiting role. We quickly decided that there was really no need for a head event coordinator (a coordinator of coordinators? ). But we did need a webmaster and someone to run the photo contests, so I took that on instead.

Good idea Phillip. In the past several days Scott has done a lot of work in contacting the members and putting together this list of Event Coordinators. Additionally, he is going to continue working as the forum's Webmaster and will also be managing the design of the forum's seasonal contests such as the Fall Photo Contest and others we'll be having in the future (Stay tuned. Around New Years there will be a contest that will have a very visible effect on the look of the forum ). Also, if there's a regional contest for a print showing, for instance the one at the College Hill Library, he'll be the one helping the event coordinators set that up on the forum.
We should also thank Scott for his contributions since he is going to be the site's Webmaster and Contest Manager on RMNP's Leadership Team!
EDIT: Glad Scott chimed in too, just beating me to it , with more info. I'm also glad for the opportunity to announce the very important part he is playing behind the scenes on the forum. Again, thanks Scott and all of our Event Coordinators!

Yeah, it's nice to have so many people involved taking on different roles. The webmaster role is extremely important..without Scott, we wouldn't have all these cool changes that we are starting to see.
