Having been absent from here since May I am delighted to be able to take advantage of Jim's reduced price offer to return.
Although I may not have been able to post comments, I have during my absence managed to e-mail a number of you regarding your images. It was very frustrating to read through Ian Masons recent post regarding UKNP without being able to express my own wishes but hopefully things will start to get back to where they used to be as I feel this is still the best forum of its kind.
Anyway, a long absence has seen me get a bit 'arty farty' and I have actually had a go at something different (for me anyway) by using slow shutter speeds on various local birds. Results are very hit and miss! It was much harder to get something that works ( a very high failure rate) but at least I have had a go and have a few which I find quite pleasing . . . . . over to you now.

Great to have you back Robert! I can totally understand your frustration, but look forward to seeing many more images! Love this one BTW!

nice to see you back Robert. I like this shot, it has a great feeling of movement. I think I'd prefer a bit more space in front of the swan if you have it, but it still works well as it is.

Very nice indeed. There's sufficient sharpness in the head and the panning has worked very well, creating a lovely effect on the water. Pity he appears to be moving slightly away from you. Welcome back by the way!

Good to see you back Robert, you will hopefully be the first of many
Arty Farty indeed, but it works very well, and as already mentioned the water gives a real sense of movement.

Hi Robert,
works fine for me as the head is nice and sharp but the rest give a real sense of movement.
