Hi Andy
tack sharp image and love the background The only nits I have is the tail across the barbed wire and the head of the vole is hidden but I would be very very happy with this image Was this from a hide and what size lens did you use?
Nick.

a very nice shot Andy, I particularly like the background. Ideally we'd be able to see a little bit more of the vole, but that's being very picky.

Hi Nick, I totally agree re the tail but I'll have to make do until the next one comes along. The shot was taken from the car window on a 500f4LIS+1.4Tc.

Lovely image. My only suggestion would be to try to brighten the highlight in the eye if possible.

Maybe a tad more space RHS for me, but tack sharp and with prey too

Great kestrel - agree about the eye if you had anything there to lighten it a little?

Great shot Andy. Agree about the tail across the barbed wire, but nothing you could do.

Lovely shot, Andy. I'd settle for the vole's head any way around

Happy with the wire as that is its agricultural environment. I like the dew drops on wire as well. a little brighter in the eye otherwise a top shot

Well I'd be more than happy to have shot this. Great detail in the bird and a superb background. I don't mind the fence (it's a natural habitat after all) and there is enough of the vole to see what it is so absolutely no nits from me.
