So, back to this format again!
My first image here is a Great-crested Grebe at the LWC. The wind was creating waves on the lake which add something else to the water I think.
The winter birds are mostly in now. Bitterns have taken up residence (2 at the moment), but are proving very elusive at the moment. Usually when it gets icy they are far easier to see.

Nice bright image and tack sharp too! Looks like a wave has tried to swamp the grebe The water droplets on its back are the icing on the cake

very nice, great colours, the red eye really seems to complement the dark blue of the water here

I do like the dark, smooth ripples of the water Oscar, particularly on the larger version, and the composition works well.

Very nice effect with the waves, and the water droplets on the back set it off very well. Great detail in the eye and a smart shot.

Not much wrong with this one, Oscar. The nicely illuminated face really helps that gorgeous red eye stand out, water texture is also very pleasing and I like the space you have given the grebe.
