Taken using the car as a hide. As per usual.
Watched Mr hare for ages. He laid down and squinted at me for some time, then when he thought it was ok he started chewing Wheat and sat up. He even got up and yawned. He looked pretty bored with it all.
I wasn,t.

Hi Major,

Sounds like a great experience. Still chasing my Locals about. You've caught this one in some superb light, and great detail in the fur, However for me it's a real shame that the fantastic eye is soft.

Regards

Rob

Great light on this hare, the eye does sharpen some more. The hare's near me run on sight of my motor, but one day I'll get another.

Hi Major

Nice light and pose - agree with Tim, head looks a little soft!

Nice one, but the focus has missed the head and I would have prefered the head to be turned towards you just that little bit more, but they never do exactly as you tell them...

I haven't even seen any this year. So You are doing fine even if the focus is slightly soft. It's good to be able to get them to sit still long enough to fire off a shot or two

Hi Major,
I Agree with previous comments on the missed focus on the head,
when I find a nice relaxed hare like this one I generally focus on the eye then switch off the auto focus and recompose.
I was talking to the owner of the estate where I photograph Hares and he said they have 350 at the moment.

Hi Major,
It's a shame the eye is a little soft as that beautiful golden light is superb.
So very nearly there.

As they sometimes say Justin "Nearly is only half way there"
Will have to write out a 1000 times I must try harder.
Many thanks for all the comments.
Major.
