From this morning at Woodburn Tulip farms. I'm going back early Saturday also. It was a great sunrise to see Mt. Hood so clearly. I did my best to get minimal flowers out of focus in front of these - I wallowed around in the mud for a good while trying. Thank God for rubber pants and old tennis shoes.

John, I like this one even better than the one you posted to ES&S. This has a more graphic style. The mountain shows up much better due to the use of the longer lens. Well done.
Jeez, John, this is nice, I don't think you need the mountain at all, actually!

Shall I say nice? Very nice, John! The comp may not need the mountain but it really adds to it to have it. When I was down there there was no mountain to see (so maybe I'll have to go again).

Thanks guys, I think after this weekend, they are going to mature past the pretty stage...... I'm really glad the mountain showed up for me
May have seen you there as we arrived around 10 or 11 a.m. I would have been the guy pushing around a stroller with a tripod on the back. I haven't pulled my shots off the camera, but am not holding out much hope to compare with yours here.
Really nice job with the dof. Just out of curiousity when you say 2 stop ND was it a Grad, or just a 2 stop ND?

Hi Brett, I left at around 8:15am - the sun/haze was too high for much and I got home in time to help get my daughter off to school. I used a Singh Ray 2 stop soft grad. I'm ordering a 3-stop hard from Singh Ray on Monday since that seems to be the most used sunrise/sunset filter I see being used.
Thanks for the kind comments and I hope to meet you at another outing... by the way, I was just in North Plains for one of those "saftey" classes due to thinking the 26 speedlimit was 65 when it is 55...... nice town
