Age and youth, dark and light - I see this as a study in contrasts and feel that you've pulled that off quite well. It's quite pleasing to my eye, Mark...

Janet,

Rowena is located off Interstate 84 East of Hood River. There is a section of old Highway 30 that runs between Mosier and Rowena, very scenic and takes you to a beauty of an overlook above Rowena. It overlooks the infamous Rowena Curves and is a great wildflower spot. I can't wait to get out there this weekend.

Love the image, Mark... :toast:

Mark,
I think I like this...but for some reason, I'm not too sure...

Well I'm sure. I love it.

Mark,
I really like this. I don't think this would have near the impact without the patch of plants just above the forground branch.

If I saw this image without any caption, I would guess instantly that it must be on the Eastern slopes of the Cascades. Very well done Mark and it looks sweet even on my crappy Dell flat panel here at work.

ok...looking at it more...it's growing on me. I think the light is what makes this work.
