Lately I've noticed a ? mark in a blue box in the middle of the small posted images. It does not appear on the large image. Can anyone tell me why its there and what I can do to get rid of it?

Dottie, this has been talked in several NPN forums lately. It's a problem when using Safari as your browser under Apple's Lion system (10.7). If you switch to Firefox, (a free download) the problem disappears.

You'll also see it on iPods and iPhones.

The images at NPN, except the large version, are overlaid with a transparent gif that Safari and Lion do not recognize, so there is nothing for the browser to render; thus, the question mark.
The transparent gif is there to prevent saving the image via a 'right click'. If you try to save the image this way, all you will get is a blank image. It's a nice safety feature, but does cause issues with some Mac browswers and OS's.
Using Firefox is the best workaround at this point in time.
