Like Oscar I love the early morning light and the OOF reed stem to the left of the bird has helped create a V frame for the bird. The frost on the reed is the final touch to a superb image :toast: The early photographer captures the bird! :toast:

Ian

What a very nice image, light and the blended reeds enhance the viewing pleasure.

Early morning light and frost!!

A bit central for my taste but very lovely otherwise.

I'd have to echo Ian's comments. Perhaps you could shave a touch off the RHS. I appreciate that would put the frosted end of the reed right at the edge but I do think that would strenghten the composition a bit. Other than that it is a lovely shot with the background giving enough information about the habitat without overpowering the bird. It is lovely the way the colouration of the background matches the hues on the bird.

maybe a little central and I'm not too keen on the dark shadow on the left but very nice light and colours and an attractive setting.

Very difficult composition choices with this one. The bird is looking to the left so my choice would be to crop from the right, sacrificing part of the perch.I might drop the contrast a little too. Lovely setting.
