For the past couple weeks we've been really busy making changes that we hope will make the RMNP forum a place that you will want to visit, post pictures and comments, and get totally involved with. We want to share some of the changes we've made so far and give you an idea of what's to come.
First, Jim E. (head of NPN) has been totally involved and made changes from the top end that have already been well received. We now can post larger images, up to 1200px, directly to the forum page. The old IC gallery page is being converted to a Cover Shot Gallery where you can see some of the exceptional work that has been selected in the past.
Jim has graciously created a new membership option where you can sign up for a single forum for only $19.00 a year! Keep in mind that if you select this option, you won't be able to post to galleries such as landscape, wildlife, etc. You can always upgrade to the full membership if you decide you want more of what NPN has to offer. You can renew at the lower rate when your current membership expires. I would encourage you to tell your photographer friends and lets make this forum grow!
We have just completed the photo contest and the voting begins today. We didn't have last years template to work from but Scott jumped in and made the whole thing happen in just a few hours...hats off to him! He is also going to be involved in keeping the RMNP site current. It may take a few weeks but you will begin to see some changes to the overall look and feel to the RMNP site.
We have new co-moderators, a webpage coordinator, a senior (super) mod with previous experience, regional coordinators, event planners and other volunteers to keep up the interest and get people from all the states involved. I can't wait to see what they come up with.
I have been looking through the suggestions from the feedback sheet I posted a couple weeks ago and we have already made some changes based on those ideas. I will be setting up a weekly tips post which will give ideas on gear, shooting, and post-production.
I will be seeking input to get some great tips out there.
From all the feedback we've gotten so far, everyone seems encouraged and excited about where we are going! We know we can't do everything at once and there may be some things we may not be able to do at all but we will do our best to make this a place you will want to visit and be fully involved with.

Jack, thanks for the update! One correction - the new regional forum limited membersip is $19.00, not $19.99.
Hats off to all of those making RMNP rock again!

A BIG thanks to Jim E. for the increase in the allowable image upload size, and for the new membership level! Thank you to the mods and Scott B. for all of your hard work.
