Rowena Sunset <with repost>
After a completely cloudless day out at Rowena, some materalized just as the sun was setting. I lamost left early, but i'm glad i stuck around.

I get a bit sunburned even though I only took my shirt off for 30 minutes or so, just a testament to how white we Oregonians get during winter

Wildflower update: The lupin was just starting ot peek out today, but not much of a showing yet, the balsam root is hitting it's stride now. I think any time in the next week will be good, but i think the peak will be this weekend and next week. I'll be back on monday or tuesday next week.

Good catch, Zack, I'm at work but the photo looks a bit dark to me.

Zack, lots of interrest in this image. I like it. Thanks for the update.

Here is a lighter version. Interestingly, even with a 4 stop hard grad, i still had to bracket a few stops.

I love it ! The dark is fine for me - I don't care for the grass being quite that light.... Love the flowers.

Zack,
This is a nice catch. Those clouds really came at the right time. BTW, I'll go for either version.

Real nice, Zack. I think I prefer the darker foreground of the first version. Maybe it's my imagination but the middle ground looks a bit brighter and with more detail visible in the second one. I'd like to see something with the darker foreground of the first but with the additional detail visible in the middle ground of the second.

I love the lighter version...it really puts emphasis on what the scene is really about...the flowers.
