Super image and a great looking fish too, I also love how the reflected sky is working on this, it gives a great effect :toast:

Superb image! The fish is stunning and the image is so crisp and sharp :toast: :toast: At first I thought the sky was at the back of the fish but it's the reflection since there is no horizon. A really unique image. I'm very jealous  Any chance of borrowing some Florida sun? Its still raining lions and hyenas here in bonnie Scotland!

As good a shot as I have seen since joining the NPN. The fish colours really make the shot for me

Hello Neil.

Nicely captured and the composition is just right. I have to agreed that the sky refection as work really well.

This is one that really grows on you. It is images like this that really benefit from the larger image. Fantastic light, really sharp and a powerful diagonal composition. The more you look the more there is to like.

it took me a few seconds to realise the bird wasn't captured against the sky but against the sky's reflection. It works well though and the position of the fish is remarkable. An impressive looking fish too.

Thanks for the faith guys, a few have asked how I photoshopped the fish to the bird then the bird to the sky....needless to say it is all real, just my angle to the bord, the great sky...the catch.

Awesome stuff - really made me think what I was actually looking at for a while!!! Great job to get the fish at that angle too - always seem to have the eyes away from me when I do bird with fish shots!!

Thanks guys, it was pure luck. I wanted to be closer to the water but the signs said I could go no further down the bank, so I didn't. This fellow caught loads of small fry and suddenly appeared with the prize!
