Slow shutter Herring Gulls taking off from the water.
Perhaps not to everyone's liking, but I love doing this sort of thing and I don't do enough of it.

Thanks for looking
PS - I know f22 with a 400 is a little 'iffy' to say the least, but when you are trying to stick to a particular shutter speed and your iso is as low as it'll go then you are out of options

May actually be a touch too slow for me, I prefer a more recognisable form...but then such abstract forms could be worth 3 million Andy!

Andy
I find these an absolute challenge and so rewarding when they work. That definition margin is so narrow. This is a classic example.

definitely one to be seen large Andy. My first thought was the same as Neil's above in that I would prefer to see more definition in the birds' shapes. But, the more you look at it the more interesting it becomes, I particularly like the shapes in the foreground and background. I must have a go at this one day.

Some shots only work at a large size, and I guess others only work small. Looking at the small version I didn't think this idea had worked. I'm glad I looked at the larger version though, because it is one of those stunning shots that you can just keep looking at and seeing more and more in it. Nice one, Andy.
