Recently I had a request for some shots of Grey Partridge and I found these that I'd got a few years back so thought I'd share one with you as I haven't been able to get out in the field for what seems like an eternity :frown:, sometimes becoming pro does have it's downsides .

Cheers

Lovely bright image Nick and the feather detail is superb. Very low POV you must have been on your stomach!

Great background, and Nick is right about the low pov. How on earth did you manage it?

Shot from the car, so the pov is about 4ft off the ground  - he is standing on a bit of flatish ground just in front of a gently sloping bank, and that coupled with the long lens compression gives the illusion of the low pov.

The POV works well. An attractive portrait Nick.

A beautiful portrait. Good pose, well detailed, nice lighting/catchlight and a lovely complimentary background.

When you haven't seen one in a while you forget what a stunningly good looking bird these really are - scrummy :toast: :wavey:

Cracking shot Nick, really impressive sharpness and such a pretty bird. :toast: Shame you can't get out so much lately, seems a common complaint amongst us photographers these days. :frown:
