New summer images -- feedback appreciated
Hi everyone,
Since I obviously don't have everything together as well as Grant, who has already finished editing his fall images, I just finished editing my July wildflower shoot. I've posted 10 images on an AGPix viewing platform, which you can see at http://www.agpix.com/platform/glennrandall. Any feedback would be appreciated. I'd particularly like to know if anyone can identify the pink flowers in the image with photographer code SJN 01 GR281 005. I can't seem to find them in any of my flower guides. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

You sure have some nice summer San Juan images. I love the sunbeams over Wilson Peak in black and white as well as the colorful Blue Lakes shots, especially the one with the columbines and the glow on the peaks.

I think the pink flowers are definitely a clover variety, looks like it might be Trifolium parryi Parry's Clover (check the pics at the bottom of the page). The darker-colored but similar shaped flowers in the next image look like they might be Red Clover Trifolium pratense. Awesome set of photos Glenn!

Hi Joshua,
Thanks for the ultra-fast feedback! You're right: the pink flowers in 281 005 are definitely Parry's clover, Trifolium parryi. The darker (more reddish) flowers in the next image (282 003) are roseroot or king's crown (two names for the same flower). That one I'm pretty confident about, since it is in all three of my flower guides. (I realize you could only see a little jpeg and didn't have the luxury of enlarging the high-res original to really get a close look at the flowers.) And thanks for the link to the southwest Colorado wildflowers website. That looks like a great supplement to my paperbound flower guides!

Really nice et Glenn! I particularly like the image you posted above. Great layering, the light shades on the mountains and beautiful color in the clouds. My next favorite is image 1369, just a wonderful composition and the cold in the lake and flowers is very eye-catching.

Great series, Glenn, my favs are 1367, 1369, 1381. Really love the depth and lighting in these 3. The light rays in the BW 1356 are wonderful as well.

Nice shots! My fave is 1369.

And don't worry, I'm about two years behind on updating my stock site, so I'm far from having everything together.

Very nice set of images! 1369 is clearly my favorite followed closely by 1356..

Nice collection! I agree with DJ--1369 is the winner, terrific combo of elements there. And the last columbine shot is just jaw-dropping!

Thanks to everyone for their feedback! I truly appreciate it. It looks like the consensus favorite is 1369, which I'll post here again. It was certainly one of my favorites as I went back through my July shoot. Sounds like I should put it out there in the shops as a print and see if anyone reaches for their credit card!

Killer images Grant. 1369 is my second fave, I personally like 1382 better. If don't mind me asking, which lake is that?

After 1369, I like the the B&W God Beams 1356. I think the dark firs along the bottom edge set it off nicely.
The broody skies in 1338 and 1341 are nice.

Hi Michael,
There isn't actually a number 1382, so I'm guessing you meant 1381, the last shot on the viewing platform, which was taken at the middle Blue Lake in the Mt. Sneffels Wilderness near Ridgway. There are three lakes in the Blue Lakes chain.

Great series !! like 1381 a lot.

Here's another vote for 1381, not as a substitute for what you have above but I think it ranks right up there with these two. As always, very well done!
